Dr. Julian Oey has been a practicing cosmetic dentist for the past 30 years.
His concept of the beautiful smile has been formulated through many years of national & international continuing education courses. He has been involved in the reconstruction of many smiles using a range of ultra modern dental technologies on numerous celebrities such as Henry Roth. Apart from the challenges to achieve a beautiful smile, he also performs general dentistry with a holistic approach. His aim has always been about meeting the patients desire and understanding their opinion from a lay-mans point-of-view . With this aim in mind, any treatment no matter how simple or complex, will always have a fantastic finish with a healthy and pleasing overall result.
Nanna Shazz is a wonderful person, she is friendly, bubbly, funny and has a great personality. She had lost all her teeth and had not been able to use her dentures. The old dentures were very loose and too "big" for her mouth making her gag constantly, they would sometimes even fall out during conversation. When she came to our surgery, she was not wearing her dentures anymore and was quite distressed. Despite her problem she was still a very bubbly and great patient to work with. She was however, doubtful, that any new dentures may resolve her problem. In treating Nanna we fabricated a full upper and lower denture in one day. The fit was perfect considering a full set of dentures usually takes a month to complete. When the new denture was inserted, her confidence returned and she is now more comfortable, both in function as well as aesthetic.
What a great patient Justin turned out to be. He was very nervous in the beginning, but after a brief consultation and with the help of a relaxation inducing medication (the green whistle), he became calm and cooperative for the duration of the treatment. Justin has a great personality, but his teeth was in bad shape from years of neglect. He has a bad bite and teeth with lots of dental caries that give the impression that he has "blackened" teeth. We began treatment by repairing all the damaged teeth, however, Justin's bite was such that with some 'bulking' up using the filling material, we could improve his smile at the same time without expensive and time consuming orthodontic work. So after 5 hours of intensive restorative work, not only did we repair all the damaged teeth, we had also created an attractive bright smile for Justin. The final step of the transformation was to "ZOOM" whiten all his lower front teeth. The end result was a dramatic smile transformation that had Justin gleaming from ear to ear.
