At the age of 32, Joey Scandizzo is a well established icon of Australia’s hairdressing industry.
His unprecedented success has taken him around the world, mentoring upcoming names inthe industry and helped established him as one of the country’s most trusted hair fashionspokespeople. From executing the perfect bob to leading a team of stars, he does so with apassion that is an inspiration in itself.
Hailed Australia’s own ‘stylist to the stars’, Scandizzo’s regular clientele include a host ifcelebrity names - Harry Kewell, Rachel Griffiths Hamish Blake, Lisa McCune, Jimmy Bartel, Ruby Rose, Jules Lund, Kate Peck, Grant Smilie, Rebecca Maddern, Rhys Ulrich and Buddy Franklin are all regulars in his chair.
As Hair Director of fashion weeks and Awards nights around the country including thecoveted AFI AACTA awards, Scandizzo has also styled some of Australia’s most respectedactors and performers including Geoffrey Rush, Goyte, Claudia Carvan, Susie Porter, RadhaMitchell, Sarah Snook as well as the UK’s Caggie Dunlop.
Scandizzo’s hairdressing talent and natural charisma have also won him appearances infront of the camera. His on-air highlights include Beauty & The Geek (Makeovers), The Biggest Loser, The Project, Today Show, Mornings and he is scheduled to appear on the upcoming Naomi Campbell’s The Face and new makeover series The Bogan Hunters.
Scandizzo’s long list of professional accolades includes 2012 Hair Expo Australian Hairdresserof the Year, AHFA's Australian Hairdresser of the Year for two consecutive years and the coveted role of Creative Director for the celebrated new haircare brand, ELEVEN Australia.
And it doesn’t stop there. Scandizzo has also been busy building his own salon empire, JamCreative Group, which now includes three renowned hair dressing institutions: JoeyScandizzo Salon, UVA Salon and Kings Domain Barber Shop.
